Central to the mission of Wisdom University is the establishment of a community of wisdom teachers and institutions who mutually support one another in the development of a wisdom-based spirituality.
Caroline Myss talks about "mystics without monasteries" - people who are deeply spiritual and committed to the path of higher truth but who do not live in cloistered monasteries and retreats far from the madding crowd. Many of these are teachers of significant note, not attached to any academic institution, but whose teachings reflect a depth of insight we want to make available to the community of seekers who attend our classes and want to go deeper into particular domains of thought.
Some of these “mystics without monasteries” have their own institutions where they teach and provide workshops. These institutions, and others, are also important to our community of wisdom seekers. Therefore, in addition to providing academic partnerships with certain of our Chairs and their institutions, we have also partnered with other institutions and organizations to provide credit toward a Wisdom University degree.
Our Academic Partnerships are structured to allow students to study with our partners and partnering organizations, both at courses offered as part of the Wisdom University schedule of classes, and as our partners teach separately in their own institutions and forums.
A student can obtain 8 credits (two full Intensives) toward a Wisdom University graduate degree by taking certain specific classes with our partners and drinking deeply of the well of wisdom they provide.
Wisdom University Academic Partnerships currently exist with the following Wisdom University Chairs and their organizations/institutions:
We also have Academic Partnerships with the following institutions
